Position Title: Receptionist

Department: Finance & Administration

Hours/FLSA Status: 40 hours/week, Non-Exempt position

Salary/Benefits: Compensation DOE with excellent benefits package. This is a downtown position with employer paid parking.

Job Summary:  The Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau, a private, not-for-profit coporation, seeks a customer oriented individual.   The Bureau receptionist/switchboard operator, orders and stocks office supplies, ships all FedEx/UPS daily, answers and assists visitor information calls and visitors.  Provides general clerical activities as requested, including backup for staff assistant.

Requirements:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and on year related experience and/or training.  General knowledge of MS Office software in a Windows environment.  Must be able to handle multiple tasks.  Must have good grammar and writing skills.  Because of the high visibility of this position, the candidate must exhibit a strong customer service orientation and professional appearance.  Able and willing to learn and use the postage machine.  Strong knowledge of Albuquerque and tourism in New Mexico highly desirable.
