Summer Job Opportunities - Students and Teens

Youth Business Grant Program - $400 to start your summer business!

If you are between the ages of 13 and 19 and have a great business idea
then this UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY is for you. 

The Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC) in conjunction with UNM-LA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is providing a fantastic opportunity to youth in the communities of Los Alamos, Jemez Springs, Espanola and Pojoaque. The Youth Business Grant Program (YBGP) provides youth the opportunity to experience the rewards of starting and running a business. The Youth Business Grant Program will provide up to $400 to enterprising young business people who want to start a business this summer.

Students Needed to Assist with Research Projects

The Bureau of Business and Economic Research is hiring students to assist us with our research projects over the summer. Preference will be given to Native American students to assist us with a contract with the National Telecommunications Information Act. The purpose of this project is to extend broadband to all undeserved ares in New Mexico.

High school students between the ages of 14 and 18 are encouraged to apply for Bernalillo County’s Summer 2011 Job Mentor Program. The program is eight weeks long and pays $7.50 per hour.
