Featured Job - Staff Accountant Specialist

Affordable Solar is currently seeking a Staff Accountant Specialist II.  This full-time, salaried position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Description:

The Staff Accountant Specialist II performs accounting functions and prepares and assists in the preparation of financial reports, statements and claims for reimbursement according to prescribed guidelines and conducts customer credit analysis.  The position interfaces across all areas of the organizations, requiring sophisticated communication and professional askills while offering a broad exposure to a growing solar design and distribution industry.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field OR five years experience in an accounting setting.  Experience in the solar industry is a plus.
• Ability to research and identify problems, develop proposals, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
• Strong track record of career advancement
• Strong NetSuite experience a plus.
• Hands-on experience performing financial close activities.
• Understanding of financial statements and their inter-relationships.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Critical thinking with the ability to drive decisions and execute solutions effectively.
• Attention to detail with the ability to summarize key points and actionable items.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive and manage change in a high growth environment.
