"Stand Down" is a military term originating from times of war when exhausted combat troops were given the opportunity to return to a place of relative security to rest and recover. Today, "Stand Downs" have become a common way to refer to events that advocate for homeless veterans.  Like a soldier in combat, our homeless veterans must face battles every day, including unemployment, emotional and physical difficulties, substance abuse and a lack of shelter.

We encourage you to donate and/or volunteer for this year's Stand Down and show our veterans that we have not forgotten them in their time of need.
